Truth behind ENERGY BARS

This is a MUST see

Most energy bars are FILLED with sugar, artificial ingredients and
sometimes ingredients that you can't even pronounce.
It is so important that you check the ingredients on every bar to make
sure there are ONLY natural ingredients.
People are so easy to see past the ingredients just because
the company CLAIMS they are "healthy"

CLIFF BARS
- These are not THE WORST for you but they do contain a buttload of
unnecessary sugar, 6 teaspoons!

GREEN "Super" Food
- The only super this food will give you is..super HUNGRY in 10 minutes.
Fructose and Sugar makes up for 26 grams of each bar. This type of sugar will leave
you feeling even more hungry.

Nutri-Grain Yogurt Bars
- Sure theres only 130 calories and 3.5 grams of fat,
BUT there are 12gr of sugar, artificial flavors and uhmm..
may I ask what "Red 40" is?  Yes, that's an ingredient

Kudos
- Sure it's appealing because of the 100-130 calories, but not only
are the calories lacking..so is the protein and fiber.
Here's another bar that will leave you feeling hungry for more

 Met-RX BIG 100
- Filled with sugar, salt, and a ton of Trans Fat.
no, no and no.

Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut
- Yeaup, Believe it or not these bars are
PACKED with 11g of sugar and
barely any fiber, vitamins, or nutrients

PowerBar
- 140 mg of SODIUM, 21g of SUGAR
2nd ingredient- High Maltose Brown Rice SYRUP..wtf?

Quaker- Oatmeal To Go
This makes me sad :(
They are SO YUMMY but so terrible!
There's as much high fructose corn syrup and brown sugar
in them as there are OATS

Odwalla
ONE of  these bars..is worse than a starbucks double shot can!!
17g of sugar and 5gr of fat.. NO  THANK YOU

so now you're saying...
WHAT DO I EAT  ???!!
My suggestion.. play it safe and stay away from any kind of BAR
Energy bar, protein bar, whatever bar.

Or if you're feeling REAL creative, there are many ways to make your own!

INGREDIENTS

1 scoop protein powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup Oats
4 egg whites
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix the egg whites and uncooked oatmeal. Add the remaining ingredients.
Spray a nonstick cooking spray in an 8"x8" baking dish.
Spread the mixture in an even layer, over the bottom of the dish.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edge starts to pull away from the side
Switch is up with different flavored protein powder and applesauce's!
