Finals Week Fluid: Coffee Done the right Whey

While all of you students are drowning
yourselves with caffeine to make up for the senior-year-slack,
I'm just over here trying to help you get jacked off the java.

Today was one of those mornings where you propose
a brilliant idea to someone, who then supports you
and joins in on this brilliance.

and it goes a little something like this…

Texting my roomie from across the gym,
just vibing off of this excitement.

And that, my friends, is how we created the

 FINALS WEEK FLUID
1.5 Cup Almond Milk
1tbsp Almond Butter

TIP: Make the cup of coffee first so the coffee grounds are fully
dissolved in the almond milk. THEN add coffee to blender.

Along side my Finals Week Fluid is
a simple Egg sandwich and Sliced Apple!

Egg Sandwich
1 Egg
2 Egg Whites
6 mini slices Turkey Pepperoni
1 Kraft Skim Cheese Slice
Sriracha (DUH!)

On a serious note, those of you
who are drowning yourself in coffee
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Drink water and take breaks often to
avoid dehydration and sluggishness.

P.S Shout out to roomie Danielle Maciver for
encourage my spontaneous suggestions.
YOU DA REALEST, love yous.

Broth Bowl Brief

Panera Bread has created the new BRILLIANT
broth bowl and I am totally game with this decision.

4 New Broth Bowls:
SOBA NOODLE: With CHICKEN or EDAMAME
LENTIL QUINOA: With CHICKEN or CAGE-FREE EGG

Being a Post-Workout meal I needed to focus my meal around
protein and carbs SO, after research around
these bowls, ingredients, and nutrition facts

Soba Noodle Bowl W/ Chicken
390Cals // 9g Fat // 47g Carbs // 31g Protein

Soba Noodle Bowl W/ Edamame
370Cals // 12g Fat // 52g Carbs // 17g Protein

Lentil Quinoa Bowl W/ Chicken
400Cals // 9g Fat // 49g Carbs // 33g Protein

Lentil Quinoa Bowl W/ Cage-Free Egg
370Cals // 13g Fat // 48g Carbs // 18g Protein

I decided on the
Lentil Quinoa Broth Bowl
 WITH Chicken

Here is what my plate looked like:

I love all of the ingredients thrown into these
bowls, it was very delicious with a vast array
of seasonings and spices!
(I also ended up switching my baguette for the
sprouted roll. Way softer & WAY yummier)

INGREDIENTS:
Chicken, ORGANIC quinoa & brown rice, lentil blend, tomato sofrito,
KALE, SPINACH, and LEMON in a soy-miso broth

like WHATT !?!?!? Organic, natural, power foods, etc.
Panera has hit the nail on the head in the midst
of all of the health and organic fads.

I would TOTALLY recommended
trying one of these

Well Played Panera ; )

---------------------------------------------------------
HOWEVER, they are quite high in sodium.
This may be the only downfall, along with the inconveniently
sized (MASSIVE) spoon that they serve with it.

LONG STORY SHORT
I've taken WHEY PROTEIN for years…
and I've had SKIN PROBLEMS for years…
THEREFORE; I NO LONGER USE WHEY BASED PROTEIN

EDUCATE YASELF
What is whey?
There are TWO proteins found in cows.. WHEY and CASEIN
Whey is a by-product of CHEESE-making.
THEREFORE…Whey is Dairy and Dairy is known to cause Acne.

WAIT, theres more!
There is a super de-duper secret hormone in Whey
that (we think) causes acne as well. It goes by the name of
IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1)

IGF-1 is fed to babies and baby cows to make them grow fast and make humans
build muscle faster (Hence the reason body builders use whey)

IGF-1:
- makes your skin produce excess oil
-tells your skin cells to multiply too fast
-glues dead skin cells together inside of your pores before
they can escape normally (meaning more clogged pores)

S.A.N RAWFUSION

is a PLANT BASED protein made up of
PEA PROTEIN ISOLATE, RICE PROTEIN ISOLATE
and ARTICHOKE PROTEIN POWDER
- VEGAN
- LACTOSE&GLUTEN FREE
- NO YEAST, WHEAT, SUGAR, SOY,
DAIRY, FISH, or PRESERVATIVES

It is a wonderful product. I absolutely love the taste,
the thickness, the macros, the price
EVERYTHING

TIP:
Put 1/2 scoop of banana nut protein
in your cereal
YOURE WELCOME
